Program Highlights of Little Lambs
Little Lambs is open 52 weeks a year, closed only for major holidays. We are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Little Lambs is unique due to its flexible scheduling options. Full day and half-day (4.5 hours) plans are available. For example, if you job-share on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's, your child may attend only those days needed. We do not make you pay for 5 full days if you are only attending 3.
Our pre-school runs 5 days a week, with exceptional learning opportunities every day for 3 and 4 year old children.
Little Lambs is licensed by the state of Michigan to care for and educate children from 6 weeks through 5 years. Our students graduate and go on to excel at the very top elementary schools in the state such as Brookside; Detroit Country Day; and the Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and Rochester Public Schools.
We lovingly embrace children from all faiths and denominations. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, and where applicable, sex, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, genetic information, political beliefs, reprisal, or because all or a part of an individual's income is derived from any public assistance program.
Little Lambs bases its daily programming on the High/Scope Curriculum (www.highscope.org). High Scope is one of the only pre-school and early childhood curricula with 40 years of research-based evidence supporting its effectiveness.
Each day, children are exposed to literature, art, fine and gross motor activities, sensory exploration, opportunities for dramatic and imaginative play, music, and social interactions with adults and peers.
Our daily routines at Little Lambs incorporate the spirit of God and our basic Episcopalian beliefs. Children are taught age-appropriate songs, prayers, stories and blessings. On a weekly basis, a bible lesson is read to the toddlers and the pre-schoolers attend Chapel.
Our caregivers and teachers are devoted, highly educated, and highly trained professionals. We support all of our caregivers to seek on-going education to further their knowledge and care-giving abilities of our children. All employees must meet or exceed State Licensing criteria and pass all background checks for criminal activity. In addition, each staff member has been tested for TB.

2013-2014 Tuition Details
Our minimum enrollment option is for two (2) half days per week through five full days. Drop-in rates are available to enrolled families to add additional programming as available.
Tuition includes breakfast, all snacks and home-made lunch in accordance with the USDA nutritional standards.
All families receive two (2) weeks of "Little Lambs Days" that may be used for any personal time, either vacation or sick days. Two weeks is equivilant to twice your weekly schedule. I.e. A family that attends five (5) days per week will receive ten (10) Little Lambs days per year whereas a family that attends two (2) days per week will then receive four (4) days per year. Little Lambs Days are pro-rated based on your enrollment date.
