Our Educational Philosophy

The first five years of childhood are the most important in development and learning. Our educational curriculum is designed to help children reach their fullest potential. The Little Lambs curriculum is based on the nationally recognized, research-based High/Scope Curriculum (www.highscope.org) which emphasizes active participatory learning for children of all ages. In addition, we design learning activities to enable each child to explore and progress at their own pace in the areas of cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Our Christian orientation, which includes introduction to prayer, music, and worship, is a unique aspect of the program. Besides daily grace and prayer within the classroom, a rich heritage of Bible stories prepares children for our intimate Saint Dunstan chapel for weekly music, worship, spiritual exploration and quiet respites.

Afternoon Enrichment Programming

We are pleased to announce two fabulous programs this fall at Little Lambs. First, Little Kritters Soccer is joining us on Wednesday afternoons for a fitness and fun program with the soccer ball! The program is for our lambs ages 2 1/2 and up. The kids love Little Kritters and their gross motor skills are exploding!

Please say "Hola!" to Senora Rosalia on Thursdays. Our introduction to the spanish language is play-based with puppets, stories, and games.  All of our Lambs just love Senora Rosalia and her animated tales. Gracias!
